WHY DOES THIS APP ALWAYS NEED CONSTANT UPDATES??!!! I HAVE HAD TO UPDATE THIS APP AT LEAST 4 TIMES IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS!!! ITS SUPER ANNOYING AND INCONVENIENT TO CONSTANTLY HAVE TO UPDATE IT ESPECIALLY WHEN IM IN THE MIDDLE OF AN APPLICATION OR IN THE MIDDLE OF CHECKING OUT A JOB DESCRIPTION AND IM WONDERING WHY THE SCREEN WONT SCROLL UP ANYMORE ONLY TO REALIZE ITS BECAUSE THIS APP NEEDS AN UPDATE YET AGAIN!! AND THE THING THAT IS REALLY FUNNY IS YOU GUYS ARE DOING ALL THESE “UPDATES” YET EVERYTHING STILL LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME!! SO WHAT IS REALLY BEING UPDATED HERE???

Best place to go for job hunting

The convenience of the app is wonderful. It’s very stable. Doesn’t drag. The one issue with it is, when it’s your only access to your job search, there’s several jobs that show up on the website that won’t on the mobile app. While searching the morning there were 3 jobs I qualified for that I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t used a computer.

Indeed should be better at identifying which job postings are ghost jobs. One would think they’d easily be able to do that. I’ve personally seen the same job listed for over one year. Also, add a feature to the applied jobs tab that specify which jobs ghosted you as an applicant.

This app absolutely will not allow me to upload my résumé in any kind of way. Completely eliminating the need for the app. It takes me into my folder and doesn’t let me select anything and it won’t allow me to upload my resume.

After you learn to use the app is a really helpful tool just be patient and it will pay off

user since the very beginning and it’s just getting worse. why bother REPEATEDLY asking users for their preferences EVERY TIME THEY USE YOUR SITE if you’re just going to keep asking. constantly re-entering 1) minimum base pay 2) max commute time 3) only showing jobs with pay information 4) sorting list (by date or relevance) 5) job type (full time vs all other options). I even attended a 1-on-1 focus group that yall paid me for, and yall actually told me this was “invaluable” but have ignored every bit of the feedback because you care more about profits than user experience. I’m gonna bet nothing ever gets fixed. Developers please don’t even bother replying to this unless it’s to say these 5 bullet points have been fixed. otherwise you’re blowing hot air and pixie dust. Update 4/8/25: Saved searches have disappeared, my minimum pay disappeared, and “jobs you haven’t seen” filter magically reappeared but then disappeared. This app is literal bonkers now. Whats this thing useful for if it can’t be consistent within a five minute span of time.

I highly doubt the positive reviews are real. Fake jobs for data farming. Scamming is now a part of our culture that has now infiltrated our job searching.

I applied at about a dozen positions, all of which indeed had listed as “Responds within a day” or “responds to 100% of applicants”. the only notifications I have received are that the position has been filled, and no other contact from the employer, yet the employer keeps the badge saying they respond to 100% of applicants. I wouldn’t use this app, it’s a waste of your time.

Either has Ghost Jobs or no one gets the application.

I love indeed! I’ve been matched with so many opportunities and actually interviews are easy! Someone is literally reaching out asking you if you want to be part of their team!

I’ve been using indeed for 3 years and gotten no call backs from job I’ve applied to. I swear half of them are ghost jobs. There’s literally no way to contact these jobs at all.

Been jobless for years at this point. No end in sight. This app was less than helpful. Would rate zero stars if i could.

This app has started having all kinds of issues lately. Very glitchy and nothing works properly.

Honestly what’s the point of this app IF NO STUPID COMPANIES ARE GOING TO ANSWER. I applied for 63 jobs in the last month and have I gotten any text back? No this is why people can’t work or do anything with their life’s because of this honestly I hope these websites and jobs get boycotted bc that’s what people are saying obviously no one wants to work for these scamming companies who waste ur time and their time it’s giving me second hand embarrassment and then they say yiu don’t qualify oh I don’t qualify to work a smoothie king job that pays the bare minimum of $9 an hour and I can’t even get that make it make sense

Don’t waste your time with Indeed or their related sites. Total SCAM. Beware!

From the amount of fake jobs to newer updates that require you to list your address and phone number, Indeed jobs does little to help the people that need jobs most. It is a time waster, I compare it to doomscrolling at this point. I have managed to get one job on Indeed in the hundreds I've applied to. I've had much better luck with just word of mouth or the companies direct website. One final critique, listing "commute time" rather than miles of distance is SO ANNOYING as someone who doesn't drive, you have no idea what my commute time is?? How does this work in cities that rely on buses and subways? It's nonsense that the feature can't be turned off.

So anytime I do a search on indeed 90% of the results -are jobs that have no relevance for me. Sales, dental assistants, owner operators, therapists... I used to be able to exclude these with a hyphen (-sales, for example) but now all that does is return jobs that contain the very word I'm trying to exclude. So now I have to sort through hundreds of irrelevant job postings, for what? What was the point of removing this feature???

I promise unless if you look at any post and you think it’s a good fit for a reasonable pay it’s fake. If it’s a crazy amount of work for next to no pay those are real

Just go on the actual jobs website and apply you’ll have a better chance of getting a job.

The app is very buggy. If you enter a dollar range for the salary you can’t get out of the field. I found this problem in several places in the app. I deleted it

I’m going to find a new full time job soon

The search results given are usually quite good if the search is simple. The app is somewhat buggy in ways that should have been caught, like getting stuck on a screen with no way back. The app asks the same “strengthen your profile” questions again and again. I get asked my zip code weekly.

This should be standard for job searches

Indeed is an absolute dumpster fire of a job platform. It’s overrun with fake listings, dead-end posts, and companies that never respond. You apply to 50 jobs and maybe—maybe—get one automated rejection a week later. Half the listings are just bait to collect your data or send you into some third-party black hole. The other half are “urgent hires” from six months ago still sitting there like ghosts. And don’t even bother with their “resume boost” nonsense—just another cash grab wrapped in false hope. Indeed is where your job hunt goes to die.

Either it’s a scam job, or it’s an Arab scammer emailing me about my Apple ID password being hacked, last time I was able to obtain a job from Indeed was 2021… The app is best for “Beating around the bush”

Not area specific enough. AI for Indeed just like Dice, is completely unaware that People living South of Orlando cannot handle the Auto commute to Positions ie jobs North of Orlando. Because I-4 North is almost and in some unfortunate cases a Killer Commute by a Car or SUV etc. Its a Nightmare Commute!!!!Do you understand? Capeech? Comprende or Comprendo?

I can’t even believe there’s 3.3m downloads. I don’t receive any kind of email or phone call about any jobs but TONS of spam calls!!! No matter how many I block, they keep calling from different numbers. No application gets anywhere but now I am constantly bothered by these scam calls all throughout the day…

Using this app puts you at risk of identity theft & constant harassment of scammers. Indeed lets anyone post job postings, so if you use this app & start getting spam calls you probably applied to a scammer. It should be illegal how awful these apps are.

Just horrible when ever I try to sign into my account it says the code that was sent to me email was wrong everytime this app is very much useless
